Fitsafe tank broaching

The Fitsafe tank broaching process was designed to accommodate new technologies/equipment retrofits into existing UST’s where tank entry ports are not available.

 

The technology has been accepted by global and local Australian oil companies as an accredited process that meets all HSSE with outstanding safety controls and procedures.

 

Retail sites remain operational with minimum interruption. HSSE, robust design, safe operation were the main objectives.

 

The benefits:

 

Removes the need and the huge expense of chasing out and then replacing concrete when trying to locate existing, unused fittings.

 

The retrofit fitting allows the flexibility of choosing the right location along the tank top for critical components without the need to find an existing fitting.

 

Multiple retrofits can be carried out at minimal cost while the tank is exposed.

 

Reduces pipe run distances and trench lengths.

 

The Fitsafe method is the only system that ensures minimal interruption to your business resulting in reduced impact to the site by minimising the excavation size during the retrofit process.

 

Typically, 6—8 broaches can be performed on-site within an eight hour time frame.
